Pure’s renovations and addition at Woodcliff Early Childhood Center support East Grand Rapids Public Schools' goals, philosophy, and commitment to sustainability.

Pure Architects completed a major overhaul to Woodcliff Early Childhood Center for EGRPS, including renovations to the existing building, new outdoor learning space, a community room, and a 10,479 sf addition.  These modifications doubled the school’s capacity, enhanced learning opportunities, and improved workflows for faculty and staff.
Every aspect of our design was aligned with the district’s vision and educational philosophy. Key features like the butterfly roof and floor-to-ceiling windows fill classrooms with daylighting, while colorful interiors make the space inviting and engaging. A rooftop photovoltaic array represents the district’s first renewable energy investment and underscores their commitment to environmental sustainability.
