When a Lowell resident donated their home to the YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids, the Y wanted to maximize the space available. Pure’s design created“The Annex,” an extension of the Litehouse YMCA that provides multi-purpose spaces for community gatherings, staff meetings, and trainings.

The project involved a full interior demolition of the property followed by a rebuild with all new interior and exterior finishes. The resulting space houses lounge areas, a kitchenette, and several multi-purpose rooms with mobile furniture that can be quickly rearranged to suit a variety of uses. The Annex is fully accessible, with interior and exterior ramps for visitors who use mobility devices.
