Ionia County Intermediate School District Autism Education Center

The Ionia County Intermediate School District Autism Education Center provides education and life skills training for kids and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder, utilizing extensive custom-designed features and finishes.

This addition to Ionia County ISD's campus provides a safe space in an enhanced learning environment designed and built to serve students who have ASD.

Small classrooms serve three-to-four students to ensure individualized learning and one-on-one attention. Our designers paid close attention to sensory considerations when choosing design elements and building materials.

Outdoor spaces provide freedom and access to fresh air when students want a chance to decompress or simply have fun outside.

Classrooms offer customized lighting zones to allow students to control sensory input. The school features a life skills classroom to help students with daily tasks like housekeeping and washing dishes.
