SixOneSix Dentistry

Inspired by Lake Michigan’s beaches, the new location of SixOneSix Dentistry for Children is designed to accommodate young patients of all ages and abilities.

SixOneSix Dentistry for Children expanded their reach with a new 4800 sq ft office. We were tasked with designing a space inspired by the beautiful lake shores - which is reflected in the curves, shapes, and color palette chosen.

Our incorporates many accessible features for patients with differing physical abilities and sound sensitivities, with ages ranging from infancy to 18 years. Ceiling treatments, privacy options, and the built materials and fabrics were all chosen with these considerations in mind.

A custom built-in fish tank with bubble-like cutouts to allow for different heights and ages to view the fish from the side is the space’s feature piece, as it stirs wonder and delight from both children and adults alike.

Acoustic paneling in the treatment rooms mimics rippling water to reduce stress and provide a biophilic interest for kids to focus on while sitting in the exam chair.

Our team transformed a pre-designed new build into an equitable environment that allows all kids of all ages to have a healthy, comfortable, and safe dental experience.
